Original Item: Only One Available. Civilian manufactured 1930s kapok filled life preserver vest by White Manufacturing Company. This style vest was popular with the US Navy and Coast Guard as the buoyant kapok was an expensive commodity, however, so were eventually replaced in the 40s by less expensive inflatable vests. This example is offered in excellent condition.
